About Chamber and Techrail

Chamber is an easy-to-use, cross-platform, zero-peek self hostable encrypted file vault built to keep privacy intact while allowing you to control where the data resides. Chamber was conceived by and built mostly by Vaibhav Kaushal with help from members in Techrail. There might be some inconsistencies in addressing the audience. At some places, they are addressed with an I and something with a We. If you find something like that, please let us know in Tecrail Discord Sever or Send and Email.

Chamber was born out of personal requirements, frustrations with and gaps in existing file encryption solutions already available. It is open source and free to use under a Dual License which permits you to use Chamber freely for personal use.

Chamber is a privacy-focused tool and as a user, none of your data is ever used for anything at all. Chamber does send some telemetry data and fetches some bits of information from the server to be shown to the user. The details around the same can be found in the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy documents. These are also shipped with Chamber itself and can be viewed in the Web UI.
